Gale full text targets added to LinkSolver
Two Gale full text targets were added to Ovid LinkSolver:

Gale Health & Wellness Resource Center
The Gale target includes full text journals for varying levels of health research.
For a complete list of the journals, go to the LinkSolver Admin Tool, select the Gale Health & Wellness Resource Center Electronic Full Text target, and click on the Publications page

Gale Health Reference Center Academic
The Gale target includes full text journals on health care topics.
For a complete list of the journals, go to the LinkSolver Admin Tool, select the Gale Health Reference Center Academic Electronic Full Text target, and click on the Publications page

LWW Journals Permissions target added to LinkSolver
The LWW Journals Permissions target allows users to request permissions for reuse of LWW and Society journals content via Rightslink, a Copyright Clearance Center licensing service. The journals included in this target are all LWW journals hosted on LWWonline and Society journals not hosted on HighWire (http://www.lwwonline.com). The target has been enabled by default for all new and existing groups.

Informa Healthcare target added to LinkSolver
Informa Healthcare provides access to pharmaceutical science and medicine journals. A complete list of journals available on Informa Healthcare is available at http://www.informahealthcare.com/action/showJournals.

These journals are also hosted on informaworld. Until the end of the year they will be available on both Informa platforms and both of our Informa full text targets, Informa Healthcare and informaworld. Beginning in 2010 the journals will be removed from the informaworld platform and our informaworld full text target. An update will be made available when the titles are removed from informaworld.

Chadwyck-Healey full text targets added to LinkSolver
Two new global targets from Chadwyck-Healey are now available:

Literature Online
Literature Online is a database containing full text works of poetry, prose and drama. The Literature Online database does not support inbound links to the full text article level. This target links to a list of issues for each journal title. Full text can then be accessed from the list of issues.

Periodicals Archive Online
Periodicals Archive Online is an archive database of journals published in the arts, humanities and social sciences. The Periodicals Archive Online target links to the full text.

NursingCenter.com Take CE Test target added to LinkSolver
The new CE Test on NursingCenter.com target provides links to CE Tests from the Nursing@Ovid database and other Ovid bibliographic databases that may index the same NursingCenter.com journals. This new link is similar to the existing CE Test on NursingCenter.com link. The existing CE Test on NursingCenter.com was only available for the Journals@Ovid database. For links to appear in Journals@Ovid and all other databases both links need to be activated.

The Blackwell-Synergy global target has been renamed Wiley. In addition to renaming the target, the target includes -

• a updated link template to resolve to the Wiley OpenURL interface
• updated coverage for all Blackwell titles
  
• the addition of Wiley titles to the publication list

As noted previously, customers will not need to migrate to our CrossRef target. If customers had the Blackwell-Synergy target activated, the changes made to the target will automatically be available. Titles that are activated in the target will remain activated. If all publications are activated any new titles added will also be activated. For customers that do not have all publications activated, they will need to activate any new titles added that they wish to have access to.

Cochrane Full Text (LinkSolver) added to LinkSolver
This new target allows LinkSolver end-users subscribing to EBM Reviews - Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews on OvidSP to link easily from PubMed citations of Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews to the full text at OvidSP.

In the LinkSolver administration tool this target appears under the “Ovid Full Text” Link Type.  To activate, simply check the box to the left of the target name Cochrane Full Text (LinkSolver) under the ACTIVATE LINKS? column or contact Technical Support at wkhealth-support@wolterskluwer.com for assistance.

PubMed Central Free target publication list update
A change has been made to the PubMed Central Free target publication list to address an issue with end coverages and embargo periods. Currently the end coverage for titles that have an embargo period are not correct. To remedy this issue the end coverage is being set appropriately which removes the need to include embargo information in the global list.

CAB eBooks added to LinkSolver
Eight new link targets to CAB eBooks collections have been added to LinkSolver.  Similar to other CAB targets offered by Linksolver these full text links appear in CAB Abstracts and point to full text content hosted by CAB. Customers with a subscription to one of the CAB eBook collections will need to activate the appropriate eBook link in the LinkSolver Adminstration tool.

In the LinkSolver administration tool this target appears under the “CAB Database PDFs” Link Type.  To activate, simply check the box to the left of the appropriate CAB eBooks target name under the ACTIVATE LINKS? column or contact Technical Support at wkhealth-support@wolterskluwer.com for assistance.

revues.org added to LinkSolver
The global link target “revues.org Journal Level FT” is now available. Revues.org is a French online federation of approximately 90 scientific journals in the field of social sciences and humanities. This target provides free journal level access, and has been enabled for all customers.

Due to the merger of Blackwell Publishing with Wiley, beginning on June 30, 2008, the Blackwell journals in our Blackwell Synergy target will be available via Wiley Interscience. For the rest of 2008 all Blackwell Synergy links will be redirected to Wiley Interscience.

During June 28-29 both Blackwell Synergy and Wiley InterScience will be unavailable while the content is moved.

Blackwell Synergy and Wiley titles are also available under the CrossRef full text target.  We recommend using the CrossRef target henceforth.  Prior customer link configurations under the Blackwell Synergy global target will be migrated to the CrossRef target later this year.  We will communicate details prior to the migration to ensure a smooth transition.

Ovid LinkSolver™ Now Supports Non-English Characters
Ovid LinkSolver is now able to fully resolve, display and pass along inbound links from Ovid SearchSolver and other sites that send properly configured OpenURLs containing non-English characters. This also means that Journals A-Z will enable title browsing in Japanese and Korean, in addition to Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish, and Swedish. Users can also search and retrieve journal titles in those languages.

The internet resource links PSIgate and GEsource are now part of Intute: Science and Technology. The PSIgate and GEsource links will be removed as global targets on Friday 10/26 and replaced with the Intute: Science and Technology internet resource target.

A new Publisher Web Site target, Publisher Web Sites - Free is now global. This target contains single journals from publishers that provide free access. Currently there is one title that is available in the target, the Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication. Information about this journal is at http://jcmc.indiana.edu/index.html.

Several new journals have been added to the Publisher Web Sites target, the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery - American Volume, Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery - British Volume and Journal of Rheumatology. Both the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery - American Volume and Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery - British Volume were added to this target to fix linking issues for a number of databases. Each of the databases (MEDLINE, Current Contents, EMBASE and CINAHL) indexed these two titles very differently making linking to the full text via HighWire inconsistent.

Informaworld is now a global target. Informaworld is an online publications website that hosts journals, eBooks, abstract databases and reference works published by Taylor & Francis, Routledge, Psychology Press and Informa Healthcare.
